People must have say in how the island is run
Regarding the county manager situation, it’s feasible to acknowledge the people we voted for had an agenda before they were elected. If this situation passes, it means they will be in control of the whole island, with no one to veto them or question their motives. I for one am against this whole situation of a county manager.
We the people should have a say of how our island is being managed and if the council is given that power, we have no chance of ever speaking our minds and having a say.
The council is powered up to become one entity, to rule the entire island. We the people should not give in to their request and petition the council to put an end to these back door meetings.
Look at what our island is becoming, another statistic in using our island as a business instead of a place where lifelong residents reside and raise their children.
Wake up and see past the friendship of this council and do your own investigation.
The more this island booms, the more our taxes will go up, homeless will be more and the cost to live here will drive our islanders away. We will be taken over by old money, bad money and dirty money.
