LIHUE — Six young ladies were crowned at the 13th annual Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Pageant held on Oct. 18 at the Kauai Veterans Center.
Nine of Kauai’s young ladies graced the stage in Hawaiian wear, a talent, and formal wear.
Winners were: Baby Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Taylann Matsuyoshi-Ibos, Tiny Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Trestany Hustace-Fu, Little Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Aaliyah Nero, Young Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Selena Salvas, Petite Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Aleah Yano and Teen Miss Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Kaytlen Akau.
Special Awards went to Best Smile – Testany Hustace-Fu; People’s Choice – Testany Hustace-Fu; Spirit Award – Testany Hustace-Fu; Best Personality – Testany Hustace-Fu; Overall Beauty – Testany Hustace-Fu and Overall Talent – Kaytlen Akau.
The Na Hoku ‘O Kauai Pageant, directed by Cheryl Perreira, focuses on community service and the overall development of Kauai’s young ladies. It is designed to offer girls ages six months to 17 years old an opportunity to try something new, learn etiquette and how to walk on stage, build confidence, feel beautiful and overall, have some fun.
Na Hoku ‘O Kauai will be featuring a Winter Wonderland Pageant on Dec. 12 at the Kauai Veterans Center. Entry fee is $100.
