Halloween came full-on starting with the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Spooktacular at the Puakea Golf Course (kudos to Dan Urwiler, Glen Tamagawa and Karen Lumacod on the great hospitality!). Phil Worwa (he came in his Santa outfit, of course, but ask him about shuttle bus elbow) set up some disc golf holes, and Ed Kawamura Jr. (Mark Perrillo was also a doctor) was trying out his hand.
Chuck Lasker (that was some joint!) and David Mona sported hippie outfits (what? No Sharon Lasker?), and who was that paranoid tourist chasing after the Red A, Big B Chicken? Greg Askew had a handle on the chicken while waiting on the paperwork for the Ono Pops facility.
Kudos to Carol Manera Texeira for pulling everything together, and Joyce Vidinha is still talking charity walk … what’s the next big event? Mistee Bailey- Myrick had dual appearances, appearing first to get the $10,000 Weinberg grant from the Zonta Club of Kauai for Malama Pono Health Services Women Wellness Program, and then making the Spooktacular with Rob Anderson.
