A passport to the Kauai Chocolate and Coffee Festival unlocked the island to a variety of chocolate and coffee tastes.
Centered around the Hanapepe Ball Park, and coinciding with the weekly Friday Night Art, the first Kauai Chocolate and Coffee festival was heralded into the world by the powerful drumming of Aki Conquest and the Joyful Noise taiko ensemble as patrons and afficionadoes of chocolate and coffee roamed the aisles of the huge tent housing vendors offering samples, information and items for sale.
Workshops on chocolate and coffee spanned the main street of Hanapepe town including Little Fish Coffee and the Hanapepe Cafe, and keiki activities at the Storybook Theater occupied the little ones while their parents and caregivers took in the world of chocolate and coffee.
Tiffany Carolan served as the event coordinator at the first Kauai Chocolate and Coffee Festival which was sponsored in part by the Hanapepe Economic Alliance.
