Happy birthday to Ron Kouchi who celebrated his special day Saturday and couldn’t escape Stephanie Iona who got Wailoa to sing “Happy Birthday” to the Senate president at the Harvest Festival.
Nia Klutke opted to volunteer at the event instead of working at Moloaa Bay Coffee … anything so she can dress up, except she forgot her red contact lenses.
Maggie Christ was thrilled her daughter Rachel Martin was enjoying the Harvest Festival with her. She was wondering if she was going to be helping at the Nightmare in Waimea event which opens Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Waimea Canyon Park.
Is it still Halloween? Randy Mueller of Rainbow Garden Kauai said the Hanalei Farmer Market vendors should be decked out in costume Saturday and Joan Kealalio of the Kapaa High School Interact Club is wondering how many will be in costume at the Kauai United Way Walkathon which gets underway from 7 a.m. at the Kukui Grove Center.
OK, it’s time to go check out Caroline Manera Texeira and the Kauai Chamber Spooktacular at the Puakea Golf Course … wonder how Phil Worwa (he was thrilled when a Jack in the Box diner treated him to breakfast, recently at the drive through) is going to manage disc golf in costume.
