The demise of modern civilization

Yes, we hear it on the news almost daily, but remain ignorant of its consequences.

Yes, coral bleaching, global warming and climate change are seen in popular media, yet, people on the whole don’t take it seriously.

Presently, the world’s coral reef ecosystems are in dire straights and face eventual collapse. When that happens, so will the food chain and humans eventually. At the present time, 70 per cent of the coral reefs in the Philippines are dead already.

Such staggering numbers lead many to think they are in the last days. Mankind has to change its lifestyles and ways 360 degrees or may face extinction from Mother Earth. Changes like the non-burning of fossil fuels and control of this overpopulated world are two ways to start.

Enough said!

Dentist’s treatment of son much appreciated

I wish to express my sincerest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Terry Allen for the superb level of service and emergency treatment provided to my son in October.

When my oldest son had a dental emergency after 5 pm. on a Friday in a different state, my wife and I were distraught.

The staff at your office stayed late and allowed us to come in at the last minute for our son who knocked out his two front teeth. It was a dire emergency while on vacation, and you and your staff were amazing in dealing with our 11-year-old son. Your flexibility, the high level of care and bedside manner put us all at ease.

Not only was it an excellent repair, but it also allowed us to continue our trip before heading back to the Mainland.

We are so grateful for your team and its professionalism. We couldn’t have found better treatment at home, and feel so lucky to have found you. I will keep you updated on his recovery and thanks again for everything you’ve done for our family.
