LIHUE — A missing Kauai Community Correctional Center extended furlough inmate was arrested in the Koloa area Wednesday night.
Aaron Fowler was arrested by Kauai police after he failed to report for his scheduled check-in at a transitional home in Kapaa Tuesday.
Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times throughout the month.
Fowler, 48, is classified as community custody which is the lowest custody level. He is serving time for burglary 2 and credit card theft. His next parole hearing is scheduled for March.
