Sandi Kato-Klutke will be on Oahu Thursday, but if the response to sweet potato ice cream is anything like the Pamantasan Club’s Monday event, the Hawaii Tourism and Lodging Association, Kauai Chapter event should be sold out (make sure you have a designated driver) Thursday.
Kudos to Byron Sibolboro, Juvann Bautista, Diane Gawaran, Gilson Guillermo (remember Waimea tennis?), Michael Mizumoto and Sean Dela Cruz on hosting the Pamantasan Club event Monday. And on the subject of tennis, Krystyna Noe is taking applications for the Poipu Kai Charity Tennis Mixed Doubles Turkey Shoot benefiting the Kauai United Way (have you signed up for the Oct. 31 walkathon, yet?). Entry deadline is Nov. 13, and if we’re lucky, maybe Juan Lorenzo will be at the games, Nov. 21-22.
Laurie Yoshida (Haunted House this weekend?) was busy at the Pop Warner games Sunday (Mike Scovel and Garrett Bacarro were using real eggs and real hamburger for the loco moco) since daughter Brittney is involved with the Lihue Patriots cheerleaders.
