Marilyn Roach
Marilyn Mieloch Roach died peacefully at the Kalaheo, HI home of her son Richard Roach and his wife Margaret Merryman on September 24th. She was almost 97 years old. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to Elmer & Mary Mieloch who predeceased her as did her three brothers. She was married to Edward Loring Dix Roach II who died in 1988. They had 5 children: Marilyn (Jim) Hogg, Edward Loring Dix Roach III (deceased), Richard (Margaret), Wilbank (Rebecca) Roche and Deborah Anderson (deceased.) She had 8 grand children: Katie Hogg, Sylvie Hogg, Domenica Anderson, Brittany Anderson, Heidi Anderson, Karen Roche, Colin Roche and Kevan Roche. She had 6 great grand children. Among her fondest memories were sailing with her husband and family, skiing and being involved in her daughters’ equestrian activities. Now she has stopped breathing but is, no doubt, “sailing with the lee rail under” into her next adventure. The family expresses deep and heartfelt gratitude to the team at Kauai Hospice and to her care givers.
