Monique said she’s been busy with volleyball so missed talking to Kaulupono coach Bobby Kamakele about the Dennis Agena (how many of you know that Kauai Police Chief Darryl Perry played with Coach Agena?) basketball clinic.
Chief Perry (he can tell you the Coach Agena stories) was with the Kauai Committee on the Status of Women during the Paint the Town Pink breast cancer awareness walk. (Regina Carvalho wants to know when Josie Pablo is doing next year’s walk.) Kudos to all involved, including Bev Brody, who is ready to retire her pink cowgirl hat.
Laurie Ho and her crew of diners can check out the Monday lunch scene at the Kauai Museum where Kalana Kaohi (beer ice cream?) will be parking for the month of October to see if that will work out. Kalana has his usual “Japanese street food” and a good assortment of ice cream (Laurie wanted to know whose pineapple is in the pineapple sherbert since she knows where the beer comes from).
