Vanessa did really good, focusing on the line and the feet crossing, more than looking at the runners coming up the chute.
And Carolyn Price said it was a beautiful course, so how could Reni Pereira not get extra photos other than racers.
People looking for those Venezuelan arepas (eat your heart out, Darin Moriki) didn’t have to go to the North Shore because Alejandra Gamera of Ally’s Concina had a booth at the Coconut Festival (Bob Bartolo was busy doing cooking demos … almost non-stop), and how did Joan Kealalio make it from officiating at the cross country race to the Coconut Festival so fast?
Joan said the Interact Club of Kapaa will also be helping at the Kauai United Way Walkathon coming up, Oct. 31 (start your teams now), and since Halloween is on Saturday, don’t be surprised if there are extra ghosts, goblins and even zombies around … isn’t Nellie Okamoto’s birthday around that time, too?
OK, time to get ready for the Kauai Made Trade Show coming up Tuesday from 11:15 a.m. with the fashion show at the convention hall. Check it out!
