Elizabeth Hahn’s girls did it, again — this time in Texas.
Hahn, a betta breeder in Waimea, earned top honors in two classes at the Lone Star Betta Show in Texas in judging which wrapped up Sunday. The show is an International Betta Congress event which means points accumulated in the show have a bearing on a breeder’s year-end rankings.
The first fish, a turquoise marble/grizzle single tail, earned top honors in the Variety A judging.
A solid black double tail female took top honors in the Doubletail class. This winning fish also earned Hahn a Special Show Award in the Female Doubletail judging as well as a Reserve Best of Variety, Group A.
Hahn also captured six second-place finishes and three third-place finishes.
