KAPAA — Kauai High School’s boys air riflery team and Kapaa High’s girls squad each won their matches Wednesday at Kapaa High School.

The Red Raider boys scored 1,200 points to beat Kapaa’s 1,145. The Warriors girls scored 1,166 to edge the Red Raiders’ score of 1,135.
Ryker Amimoto was Kauai High’s best shooter among the boys with a total of 246 (95 prone, 84 kneeling, 67 standing). Kaimi Texeira scored 244 (84-83-77). Alec Greer scored 243 (86-83-74). Ryan Valhuerdi scored 240 (90-85-65). Brandon Marcos scored 227 (81-70-76). Those who didn’t make the top five were Kendrick Cadiz (220-88-78-54), Grant Calipjo (215-86-71-58) and Kaimana Texeira (204-83-64-57).
Of the Warrior boys, Ian Kimura was the day’s best with a total of 251 (91 prone, 81 kneeling, 79 standing). Michael Anderson scored 245 (92-83-70). Zyron Albite-Ruiz scored 217 (76-80-61). Maverick Yadao also scored 217 (78-73-66). Levi Eulalio scored 215 (79-71-65). Those not in the top five are Mark Corpuz (204-88-60-56), Joemar Agno (197-77-65-55) and Ethan Kaiwi (197-78-73-46).
Of the Warrior girls, Haley Gokan was the top shooter with 251 (83 prone, 88 kneeling, 80 standing). Janice Manique followed with 243 (86-84-73). Khaelie Miranda scored 239 (89-77-73). Alicia Hayakawa scored 223 (81-76-66). Larissa Tsai scored 210 (78-67-65). Those not in the top five are Kiara Dolino (201-80-68-53), Analani Bacon (194-86-57-51) and Iris Murakami (164-37-71-56).
Brooke Hornos was the day’s best shooter with 255 (90 prone, 84 kneeling, 81 standing). Kaori Kaya was next in line for the Kauai girls with 236 (80-84-72). Kailee Arakai scored 225 (88-70-67). Kelli Okayami scored 211 (90-61-60). Xandra Masumoto scored 208 (74-76-58). Those not in the top five are Kimberly Mautina (202-75-70-57), Harlee Fujimoto (183-74-51-58) and Jaslyn Langtad (178-70-55-53).
Kauai will host Waimea and Kapaa will play at Island School on Wednesday. Matches begin at 3 p.m.
