Jennie Keuma
Jennie Mailekini “Aunty Jennie” Keuma, of Hanapepe, Kauai passed away on September 9, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 3, 1925 in Waimea, Kauai.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Keuma, father George Kahalekomo, Sr., morther Miriam Namakaeha, step father Kalei Makawelo Kuapahi, brothers George, Abraham, Gabriel, Rueben, Raymond Kahalekomo & Leialoha Kuapahi, sisters Rachel Kahalekomo, Primrose Caldeira Machado and her two sons Wilton & Daniel Keuma
Jennie is survived by her daughters, Donna “Manu” (Dennis) Tokuoka and Charlene “Kehau” (Dave) Kerwin and sons, Eldon “Kaulei” (Joyce) Kahalekomo, Dalsay (Verlynn) Keuma, Keenan (Susan) Keuma, Shyronjon “Kainoa” (Healani) Keuma, Frank (Laura) Keuma and Delayne (Glennis) Pai. Jennie had 41 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, sister in laws, Janet Kahalekomo and Arlene Kaupahi as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday September 26, 2015 at Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary in Koloa from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcome.

Nieves Malbog
Nieves Malbog of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 7, 2015, at the age of 85. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on September 15, 1929, and retired from Dani’s Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Feliciano Malbog; daughter, Joan Santos and sister, Neolita “Lolang” Sabugo.
Nieves is survived by three sons, Lawrence (Irene) Santos of Oahu, Kenneth (Mela) Santos of Hanamaulu, Edward (Mary) Santos of Wailua Homesteads; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Asuncion “Connie” (Paul) Laforga, Mercedes (Mercy) (Benjamin) Calvan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Caesar Rubio
Caesar Binyan Rubio of Wailua Homesteads passed away at home on September 20, 2015, at the age of 94. He was born in Pahala, Big Island, Hawaii on March 15, 1921. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Ceasar retired from Big Save in Kapaa.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalia Rubio; son, Michael Rubio; grandson, Randy Machado and great-grandson, Landen Machado.
Ceasar is survived by his two daughters, Shirley (Bernard) Machado, Ella (Calvin) Lai; daughter-in-law, Janice Rubio Plumer; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; one brother, Reuben Rubio; two sisters, Angelina Navarro and Rebecca Galios; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and “his gang”.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Rosario Ibe Ragasa passed away on August 30, 2015 at home on Moloka`i, Hawai`i at the age of 82. He was born on October 7, 1932 in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He retired as a Carpenter Foreman with PMRF on the Marshall Island.
Predeceased by his son Charito Ragasa, former wife, Rosalina Pagat Alquiza, parents Catalino Pezzario Ragasa and Martina Ibe Ragasa, brothers and in-laws, Rafael (Patrocinio Yadao), Crispin (Leonila Asuncion), Fernando (Matia Guzman), Santiago (Candra Inda), Attorney Jose, Pedro, sisters and in-laws Caridad (Vicente Asuncion), Lourdes Ragasa, Fraxedes Ragasa, daughter-in-law, Yolanda Ragasa, stepson, Virgilio Nartatez and nephew, Teddy Ragasa.
He is survived by his wife Violeta of Moloka`i, daughter Rosemarie (Mario) Dulatre of Lihue, sons Roger (Dina) Ragasa of Kekaha, Felymar Ragasa of Hanamaulu, Rheme (Cynthia) Ragasa of Las Vegas, Marfyn (Marlyn) Ragasa of Hanamaulu, Eldy (Annabel) Ragasa of Kapa`a, daughter-in-law, Vangie Butay of Kaumakani, 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, stepchildren, Leonora Nartatez of O`ahu, Susan Nartatez of Moloka`i, Alfonso Nartatez of Kapa`a, Christopher (Lori) Nartatez of Moloka`i, Nida (Franz) Langer of Moloka`i, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister, Josefina (Felix) Iloreta of Kapa`a, sister-in-law, Esmerna and Elena Ragasa of the Philippines and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donald Ceballo
Donald Ceballos of Dana Point California passed away on September 20, 2015, at the age of 70. He was born in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii on April 13, 1945. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Ceballos Sr. and brother, Francisco Ceballos Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Mai Ceballos; mother, Lucia Ceballos; two brothers, Glenn (Mona) Ceballos and Errol (Rose) Ceballos; sister-in-law, Sandy Ceballos; one son, Donnie Ceballos; one daughter, Lisa Martz; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert “Tek” Nickerson
Robert “Tek” Nickerson, 70, formerly of Old Greenwich and Cos Cob CT, died at home in Wailua, Kauai, Hawaii on September 5, 2015. Tek was born May 21, 1945 in Greenwich, Conn. He was known for his diligence in contributing to community development as a citizen of Kauai.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Edward Nickerson.
Robert is survived by his son, Charles RedShirt of Newtown, CT, one granddaughter, his dear friend and former wife, of 29 years Arlene Benedict of Stamford CT; mother, Mary Jane Nickerson of Brevard NC, brother, Eric Nickerson of Milford NH, sister, Jan Nickerson of Brevard NC; 6 nieces, 4 nephews and many friends.
A celebration of Tek’s life will be held on Monday, September 28th at 5 p.m. at Lydgate State Park in Wailua.
