Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge invites fourth-grade students for a free visit as part of the White House’s new “Every Kid in a Park” program. The Refuge will also be offering free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in celebration of National Public Lands Day.
“We have a long history of connecting Kauai’s children with Hawaii’s native seabirds and coastal plants as well as the nene,” said acting project leader Michael Mitchell. “With the ‘Every Kid in a Park’ pass, the children will be able to bring their family along and experience the incredible resources at Kilauea Point together and it can all start with a free visit to the Refuge on National Public Lands Day.”
