HANAPEPE — The new Hanapepe location of PS&D Napa was blessed Friday with a short ceremony officiated by Rev. Nani Hill.
“We’re pretty much completed,” said Gail Shigematsu of Pacific Service and Development, Napa. “There are just a few more things in the back which need tendingto. Otherwise, this new location is set to go.”
After starting the Hanapepe location in October 1980, PS&D Napa moved to its current location in the former Robert’s store on the main street through Hanapepein July when Robert’s consolidated its operation to Lihue.
The new site adjacent to the Hawaiian Congregational Church is bigger than the former location.
Richard Arakaki is the Hanapepe PS&D Napa store manager and brings 35 years of experience with PS&D Napa. His staff includes Sam Dias, a 32-year employee,Myron Arakaki, working with PS&D for 24 years, Wayne Allianic and Kevin Bernardo-Yago.
PS&D Napa in Hanapepe is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m..
PS&D Napa on Kauai, in business for 44 years, operates stores in Kapaa, Lihue, Kalaheo, and Hanapepe.
