LIHUE — The Kauai Lifeguard Association’s Third Wave Celebration on Oct. 17 is sold out, but there’s still a chance to attend.
A table of 10 donated by GEICO will be auctioned live on KONG FM93.5 during the 7 a.m. hour on Tuesday.
The event will feature more than $52,000 in merchandise offered to those in attendance.
There will be six silent auction packages up for bid, including a sunset dinner cruise, a spa day, and beach club party.
Original artwork, jewelry and Na Pali Coast trips will also be part of the program.
In between performances by headlining acts there will be live auctions with guest auctioneers. Packages include the Mayor’s Cup with Mayor Carvalho and Dickie Chang taking bids on a St. Regis Kauai Grill private dining room experience for six, along with an oceanfront St. Regis Prince Junior Suite and round of golf for two at the Makai Course the following day.
Through August, Kauai’s lifeguards have performed 58 rescues and more than 70,000 preventative actions, with over 1.3 million beachgoers.
The event was created and produced by Andy Melamed, who can be reached at andy@kongradio.com or (808) 482-0218.
