POIPU — Tommy Woodard and Eddie James, also known as “The Skit Guys,” will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Kauai Christian Fellowship to close out the grand opening celebration of the South Side Sports Center.
The show, as with the rest of the afternoon entertainment, is free.
Woodard and James have been best friends since high school. They mix “mirth and aha” moments in their short sketches.
“And, they’ve been teaching God’s word using comedy, drama and whatever category talking action figures fit into for over 20 years,” according to a press release.
The $2 million, 14,000- square-foot sports center will be home to youth and adult sports activities. Sunday’s grand opening, 3 to 7 p.m., will include a waterslide, bounce house, a classic car show, a comedy show, live music and prizes.
Kauai Christian Fellowship is at 2731 Ala Kinoiki Road in Poipu.
