What a big day today is!
Greg Gonsalves is thrilled Dorene Matias and her Kauai High School girls volleyball team was able to get past Chad Delanoza and the Menehune in five sets. Not only was it a great win for the Red Raiders, it brings Kapaa and Waimea to a tie with one-loss each heading into the Clem Gomes Gym tonight.
Before that, if there is time, check out Theresa Koki of the Mayor’s Life Choices and the wellness fair going on at the convention hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Yanny Jiang opened Aloha Ramen at the Kukui Grove Center Wednesday!
Lesah Merritt starts the whole day when Safeway opens its doors at 6 a.m. (what? you missed it?), and Brandon Sassone (Chef Mark Sassone is beaming with pride on his son’s return home) opens the Bank of Hawaii at 8 a.m. And the action doesn’t stop there since Joy Koerte said Mark Oyama and his crew are doing some goodies for the Hokulei Village grand opening starting at 2 p.m. along with Uncle (his first shop is at The Shops at Kukuiula).
If you missed some of the events, don’t worry, Safeway is open 24 hours a day!
