LIHUE — The Regency at Puakea will host its 4th annual Kupuna Arts Showcase from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at the retirement and assisted living facility in Puhi.
The public is invited to view the showcase of artistic talents from the Regency community’s residents with free wine and pupu being served.
“We want people to see the diverse range of talent from painting to quilting to poetry and more,” said Sharon Lasker, the Regency marketing director.
The Kupuna Arts Showcase is being held in conjunction with National Assisted Living Week, which is celebrated nationwide from Sept. 13 through 19. The observance recognizes the unique individuals who reside in assisted living communities and the staff members who deliver care on a daily basis.
“The ability to care for our kupuna on Kauai is a huge responsibility which the Regency at Puakea does not take for granted,” said Pam Arroyo, Regency general manager. “This event celebrates the bonds built between our residents and our amazing team of Assisted Living professionals who are committed to providing person-centered care and services each and every day.”
