LIHUE — The Fun Factory at the Kukui Grove Center now has nearly double the space for people to enjoy the arcade in air conditioned comfort.
A re-grand opening and birthday celebration of the expansion and remodel will take place Saturday from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. with free cake from Times Supermarket and Meadow Gold ice cream being served outside the doors to the first 200 people, said Crystal Perry, Kukui Grove Fun Factory manager.
“We are very excited for the grand re-opening of Fun Factory at Kukui Grove,” said Wade Lord, general manager of Kukui Grove Center. “The expansions and renovations throughout the center are attracting national and neighbor island tenants to better serve our consumers and broaden our retail roster.”
Comedian Augie T will be hosting a live remote broadast at the Fun Factory at Kukui Grove where the facility which has doubled in size will be hosting games and prize drawings every 15 minutes throughout the celebration period.
Perry said the new expanded and remodeled facility offers more new games, including Batman, Fruit Ninja, Strike, Ice Ball, and ice hockey, for people to enjoy.
Adding to the excitement of the re-grand opening and birthday celebration, the Kukui Grove Center will be hosting the Mauka to Makai, a Bully-Free Kauai Celebration and Community Resource Fair at the center stage area from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with El Doi of the state Department of Health, the Kauai Pop Warner Football League cheerleaders, and more.
