LIHUE — Kauai RSVP’s collection drive benefit ting the YWCA of Kauai Women’s Shelter will end on Sept. 15.
“We are collecting travel size hygiene products for the YWCA Women’s Shelter as part of the Sept. 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance,” said RSVP Director Celia Melchor-Questin. “Contributions toward this effort would be greatly appreciated.”
RSVP is an organization that’s part of the Agency on Elderly Affairs.
Among the products that are being collected for children are baby powder, combs and brushes, while deodorant and razors are being collected for women.
Other items that can be donated are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner.
The supplies can be dropped off Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Agency on Elderly Affairs/Kauai RSVP. The office is located at the Lihue Civic Center, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 330.
Additionally, Big K-Mart and Times Supermarket in Lihue will accept donations toward this effort on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
