Helen Wong Smith, executive director of the Kauai Historical Society, will be speaking from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Koloa Public Library meeting room. She will present again from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at Lihue Public Library.
Smith, a librarian and certified archivist, summarizes bibliographies, digital records, and other lists available from Hawaii state archives, the public libraries, UH Manoa libraries, Brigham Young University and federal archives.
She will point out effective ways people can do their own searches.
Lectures are free; light refreshments will be served.
