Evelyn “Evie” L. Boiser of Moloaa, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 18, 2015, at the age of 60. Born on Dec. 20, 1954, in Red Oak, Iowa, she was a registered nurse at the Department of Health as well as a nurse instructor at KCC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Volney “Russell” and Martha Ann Evans.
“Evie” is survived by her husband, Mark Boiser of Moloaa; daughter, Martha “Marty” Boiser of Moloaa; sisters, Suzanne (Richard) Fentiman of Missouri, Jean (Mick) Buehler of Kansas, Jo Evans of Colorado and Mary (Pat) Parrott, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Evie’s Life will take place on Sept. 12, 2015, at Anini Beach Park at 10 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the Boiser residence in Moloaa.

Matias Arizo
Matias Arizo of Puhi, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 14, 2015, at home at the age of 96. He was born on Dec. 31, 1918, in Laoag, Philippines. Matias was a carpenter for Grove Farm.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalina “Rose” Arizo of Puhi; sons, Darryl (Patricia) Arizo of Oahu, Richard Arizo of Puhi and Norman Arizo of Hanapepe; daughters, Sharon (Larry) Duque of Lihue, Lois (Robert) Silverman of Wailua, Carla (Tony Hulette) Arizo of Los Angeles; son Eugenio Arizo of the Big Island; daughters, Erlinda (Ronald) Mauricio of the Big Island, Leticia Abalos of the Big Island; sister, Felicidad Pastor of the Philippines; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services were held.

Christopher ‘Bradda’ Cremer
Christopher-Isaac Keli’i Shigeo Cremer (Bradda) of Lihue passed away on Aug. 18, 2015, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 19.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Daphne K. Cremer.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Chelsea Arakaki; father, Richard Cremer; sisters, Alyssa Cremer-Arakaki, Aiesha Cremer-Arakaki; brothers, Richard Kanoa Cremer, Kanen Kainalu Cremer; girlfriend, Aillean Defontorum; grandmother, Christine (Tina) Saito (Dan Saito); grandfathers, Jerome Arakaki, Reinhold Cremer Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
Christopher’s Celebration of Life and the scattering of his ashes will be held on Sept. 13, 2015, at Kalapaki Beach Park at 12:30 p.m.

Juana Espino Domingo
Juana Espino Domingo of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 14, 2015, in Honolulu, Oahu, at the age of 83. Juana was born on May 12, 1932, in Kealia, Kauai. She was a receptionist/records clerk with Waimea Dispensary.
Juana is survived by her husband, Sylvester Domingo; sons, Sylvester (Donna) Domingo, Steven Domingo; daughters, Regina (Cornel) Manlic, Rowena Chong; three grandchildren, Jeremy Chong, Adam Manlic and AnaLisa (Todd) Yanagi and one great-grandchild, Leana U. Manlic Yanagi; brothers, Placido (Esther) Espino Jr., Raymond Espino Sr., Antone Espino; sisters, Mercedes (Andy) Gorospe, Julia McCullen, Alfonsa Maligro, Geraldine (Eliseo) Dureg; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Aug. 31, 2015, at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Kekaha. Rosary at 8 a.m. followed by visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens, Lihue.
The family suggests Aloha attire.

Shizuo Hashimoto
Shizuo Hashimoto of Kapaa passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Aug. 23, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born in Honolulu, Oahu, on Aug. 6, 1922, retired as a real estate appraiser and was an active member of the Lions Club since 1950.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gloria Hashimoto; one son, Daniel Hashimoto of Kapaa; two daughters, Pamela Daugherty of California and Cynthia Swain of Kapaa; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Hashimoto; two sisters, Lillian Asano Kitagawa and Lynn Yoshie Anzai all of Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will hold private services.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hashimoto family with arrangements.
Virginia Gorospe Dumot
Virginia Gorospe Dumot, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 20, 2015, at her home at the age of 70. She was born on May 5, 1945, in the Philippines. Virginia was a retired nurse at Samuel Mahelona Hospital.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Benjamin “Ben” Dumot; daughter; Maile Texeira; two sons, Ernesto Pasion, Carlito Pasion, Jr.; brothers; Dominador Gorospe, Nestor Gorospe and Narciso Gorospe, Jr.; sisters, Susan Brede and Shirley Gorospe; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Sept. 5, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Janis Sachiko Takenaka Yoshimori
Janis Sachiko Takenaka Yoshimori of Kapaa passed away at home on Aug. 16, 2015, at the age 65. She was born on July 18, 1950, in Lihue and was a travel agent with Aloha Kauai Travel.
She is survived by her husband, Warren Hidemi Yoshimori; mother, Gladys Takenaka of Kapaa; brothers, Glenn Takenaka of Lihue, Alan (Fran) Takenaka Sr. of Oahu, James Jr. of Kapaa; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family for a Celebration of Life at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai on Sept. 5, 2015. Services will begin at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Warren Hidemi Yoshimori of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away at home on Aug. 20, 2015, at the age of 72. He was born on July 2, 1943, in Koloa and was a mason carpenter and maintenance engineer with the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his brother Lloyd (Cheryl) Yoshimori; caregivers, nephew, Alan A. Takenaka Jr. and niece-in-law, Alison Lovell; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janis Sachiko Takenaka Yoshimori; parents, Hideto Yoshimori and Sumiko Yoshimori; brother, Clyde (Gwendalyn) Yoshimori; and sister, Aileen Schecter.
Friends may visit with the family at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai on Sept. 5, 2015. Services will begin at 10 a.m.
Scattering of ashes will be at a later date.
Jackson Hamamura
Jackson “Jack” Yorio Hamamura of Kekaha passed away at Salem Hospital in Oregon on Aug. 10, 2015, at the age of 86. He was born on Sept. 5, 1928, in Koloa. He was a jack-of-all-trades, founder of Kauai Fire Protection and retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents Suketaro and Shizuno Hamamura; brothers Masamu, Noboru “Nobu” and Tadao “Tad” Hamamura; sisters Toiko and Sadako Hamamura.
Jack is survived by his wife, JoAnn Hamamura; son Carl DiPalma of Waipahu; daughters Michele Cacal of Kekaha, Leslie (Jeff) Boyd of Salem, Ore., and Jaeda (Curtis) Elvenia of Koloa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers Shigeto “Shige” Hamamura of Lihue, Bunto and Hiroake “Harry” Hamamura of Omao; sisters Harriet Iseri and Gladys Kobashigawa of Koloa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service and inurnment with military honors will begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2015, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Family suggests casual attire and invites you to stay for refreshments afterwards.
