Marlena Bunao won’t be cooking malasada next Monday. She’ll be either cooking or serving at the 37th Labor Day Breakfast hosted by the Lihue United Church. Where are you going to find unique, one-of-a-kind breakfast for a $6 donation? Kudos

Kudos to Peter Wideroder and the Dow Agrosciences volunteers, including Mo Durante who helps coach Waimea sports (Antonio Pope thinks it’s softball) and Dado Cumlat, who said his relatives come from strong basketball backgrounds from the Philippines.
It’s been a while since Steve Davis was out in public (they had watermelon for snacks, too), and he was with Adrian Escobar, who said he was able to make a little video of the no-wind yacht race Thursday (congrats to Alison Fornari and OZone!).
More kudos to KPD Lt. Rod Green (how many years, now?), Sgt. Michael Nii (just saw him at the All Saints market), and Sgt. Len Nitta (when does Westside Falcons start up?), Jocelyn Barriga and all those Special Olympic athletes on a great Cop on Top event, and kudos to Ronald McDonald for stopping by and livening up the event.
