Lawrence ‘Antone’ Carveiro
Lawrence “Antone” Carveiro of Kalaheo, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 6, 2015, at Straub Hospital on Oahu at the age of 79. Lawrence was the sole proprietor of Larry’s Reel Mower Sharpening. He was also known as Santa Claus at “Candy Lane” (Onohi Lane) in Kalaheo during the Christmas holiday for the past 25 years. He retired from Kauai Builders and the County of Kauai where he worked as a carpenter.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Adeline Carveiro Sr.; brothers, Robert Carveiro and Manuel Carveiro Jr.; parents-in-law, John V. and Mary Medeiros, Sr. and brother-in-law, Leonard Medeiros.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Marie Carveiro; daughters, Lawrie Woods (Ronald Ellamar), Debby (Leroy) Gatioan and Lisa (Marvin) Fernandez; six grandchildren; Raven Woods, Amanda Gatioan, Branden Gatioan, Micah Fernandez, Skyler Fernandez and Tanner Fernandez; brothers, Richard (Lydia) Carveiro and Albert (Maxima) Carveiro; sisters-in-law, Leonora Carveiro, Carol (Thomas) DePonte and Kathleen (George) Langtad and brother-in-law, John V. (Shirley) Medeiros, Jr.
Celebration of Life will be on Aug. 29, 2015, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Visitation is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. with Mass to follow. Family suggests casual attire.
Micah Glen ‘Combs’ Lininger
Micah Glen “Combs” Lininger of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 7, 2015, at the age of 26. Born on June 12, 1989, in Yuba City, California, he was a personal banker with American Savings Bank, Lihue Branch.
He is survived by his fiance, Jessica Steinhilber of New York; son, Micah Hayden Lininger of Yuba City, California; daughter, Rylee Belle Lininger of Yuba City, California; mother, Sandra (Bruce Eutsler) Combs of Kapaa; father, Glen Lininger of Sacramento, California and sister, Shari Lininger of Kapaa.
The family of Micah Glen “Combs” Lininger invite you to join us in a memorial service at noon on Aug. 30, 2015, at 4611 Mamane St. Kapaa HI 96746. All are welcome to attend.

Helen Maxima Iida
Helen Maxima Iida of Lihue, Kauai, passed away at home on July 22, 2015, at the age of 74. She was born in Hakalau, Big Island, on March 4, 1941, and retired from Coco Palms Hotel as a hostess.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Iida; mother, Hilda Lei’ilima Kai and son, Llewellyn Yadao.
Helen is survived by two sons, Leland (Elaine) Yadao of Lihue, Barry (Everlyn) Yadao of Honolulu; five daughters, Yvonne (William) McKeown of Kapaa, Donna (Craig Yokote) Yadao of Eleele, Dee Ann (Nolan) Rapozo of Lihue, Moana Chun of Mililani, Desiree Chun of Mililani; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred (Lovey) Nabalta of Honolulu; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Aug. 29, 2015, at the McKeown Residence from 11 a.m. Call 639-1413 for directions.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Deharn Kaleo Waiwaiole
Deharn Kaleo Waiwaiole of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on July 16, 2015, at the age of 62. Born on March 28, 1952, in Lihue, Kauai, he was employed with Cost-U-Less and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Deharn was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Souza and brother, Earl Waiwaiole.
He is survived by his brother, Ainsley “Kaipo” (Wendy) Waiwaiole; hanai sister, Tammy (Fred) Kaholi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday Sept. 6, 2015, at Kapaa Small Boat Ramp (Lihi) Beach from 1 to 4 p.m.

Eugene ‘Butch’ Henriques Jr.
Eugene “Butch” Henriques Jr. of Waimea, Kauai, passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on Aug. 15, 2015, at the age of 57. He was born on June 12, 1958, in Lihue, Kauai, and was a Range Operations Manager with PMRF.
He is preceded in death by his brother, James G. Henriques.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Anna Henriques of Waimea; sons, James Henriques of Lawai and John Henriques of Waimea; daughters, Luana (Kelly) Durston of New Zealand, Nei-Moana Henriques of Oahu and Nei-Mahina Henriques of Waimea; three grandchildren; parents, Eugene Sr. and Helen Henriques of Kapaa; brothers, Manuel (Samantha) Henriques of Kapaa and William Henriques of Kapaa; sisters, Cheryl (Jeff) Kirby of Minnesota, Mary Henriques of Kapaa and Ann Henriques of Honolulu; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha, on Aug. 29, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m., followed by a burial at the Kekaha Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Tokiyoshi Kawamura
Tokiyoshi Kawamura of Kilauea passed away at Mahelona Hospital on July 27, 2015, at the age of 93. Born on October 5, 1921, in Kapaa, Kauai, he was retired from DAGS in the maintenance department with the State of Hawaii.
He is survived by his brothers, Kiyoshi Kawamura of Kilauea and Hiroshi Kawamura of Pearl City; sisters, Karen Mizuta of Honolulu, Hanayo Moritsugu of Kilauea, Elaine (Hideo) Watari of Hanalei and Sandra Miyabuchi of Kilauea; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.

Mitsue Hirata Yokomoto
Mitsue Hirata Yokomoto of Lihue, Kauai, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on July 22, 2015, at the age of 103. She was born on October 24, 1911, in Lihue, Kauai, and was a sales person with Kauai Stores.
She is survived by her two sons, Roy (Jean) Yokomoto of California and Charles F. Yokomoto of Indiana; daughter, Ann C. Tsuzaki of Hawaii; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sister, Kazue Hirata Matsumoto.
Private services were held on Aug. 11, 2015.

John McEveety
John McEveety of Lihue, Kauai, passed away at home on Aug. 15, 2015, at the age of 58. He was born on December 27, 1956, in Burbank, California, and was a cameraman with Cinematographers Guild.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph McEveety of Hollywood, California, Stephen McEveety of Thousand Oaks, California and Mark McEveety of Shadow Hills, California; sisters, Linda White of Huntington Beach, California, and Annie McEveety of Lihue, Kauai; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may join the family for a paddle out at Kalapaki Bay/End of Jetty’s on Aug. 29, 2015, at 3 p.m. A Celebration of John’s Life will follow at the Kaiola Canoe Club.

Shizuo Hashimoto
Shizuo Hashimoto of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Aug. 23, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born in Honolulu, Oahu, on Aug. 6, 1922, retired as a Real Estate Appraiser and was an active member of the Lions Club since 1950.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gloria Hashimoto; son, Daniel Hashimoto of Kapaa; daughters, Pamela Daugherty of California and Cynthia Swain of Kapaa; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Hashimoto; sisters, Lillian Asano Kitagawa and Lynn Yoshie Anzai, all of Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will hold private services.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hashimoto family with arrangements.
Juana Espino Domingo
Juana Espino Domingo of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 14, 2015, in Honolulu, Oahu, at the age of 83. She was born on May 12, 1932, in Kealia, Kauai. She was a receptionist/records clerk with Waimea dispensary.
Juana is survived by her husband, Sylvester Domingo; sons, Sylvester (Donna) Domingo, Steven Domingo; daughters, Regina (Cornel) Manlic, Rowena Chong; three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Placido (Esther) Espino Jr., Raymond Espino Sr., Antone Espino; sisters, Mercedes (Andy) Gorospe, Julia McCullen, Alfonsa Maligro, Geraldine (Eliseo) Dureg as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Aug. 31, 2015 at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Kekaha. Rosary at 8 a.m. followed by visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens, Lihue.
The family suggests Aloha attire.
