Deharn Kaleo Waiwaiole
Deharn Kaleo Waiwaiole of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on July 16, 2015, at the age of 62. Born on March 28, 1952, in Lihue, Kauai, he was employed with Cost-U-Less and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Deharn was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Souza, and brother, Earl Waiwaiole.
He is survived by his brother, Ainsley “Kaipo” (Wendy) Waiwaiole; sister-in- law, Virginia Waiwaiole; hanai sister, Tammy (Fred) Kaholi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at Kapaa Small Boat Ramp (Lihi) Beach from 1 to 4 p.m.

Eugene ‘Butch’ Henriques Jr.
Eugene “Butch” Henriques Jr. of Waimea passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on Aug. 15, 2015, at the age of 57. He was born on June 12, 1958, in Lihue, Kauai, and was a Range Operations Manager with PMRF.
He is preceded in death by his brother, James G. Henriques.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Anna Henriques of Waimea; sons, James Henriques of Lawai, and John Henriques of Waimea; daughters, Luana (Kelly) Durston of New Zealand, Nei-Moana Henriques of Oahu, and Nei-Mahina Henriques of Waimea; three grandchildren; parents, Eugene Sr. and Helen Henriques of Kapaa; brothers, Manuel (Samantha) Henriques of Kapaa, and William Henriques of Kapaa; sisters, Cheryl (Jeff) Kirby of Minnesota, Mary Henriques of Kapaa and Ann Henriques of Honolulu and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha, on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m., followed by a burial at the Kekaha Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Wayne Itsuto Tanaka
Wayne Itsuto Tanaka of Lihue, born on April 22, 1935, in Koloa, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 23, 2015, at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kameo and Fuyu Tanaka; son, Duane; brothers, Warren, Hideo, Elden and Mitsuji and sister, Miyeko.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Leatrice Morimoto Tanaka; daughters, Melanie (Eric) Yeaman of Honolulu and Stephanie (Clayton) Mira of Honolulu; five grandchildren, Lauren and Jake Yeaman, Kiara and Colton Kobayashi and Kyla Mira; sisters, Tamiko (Ted) Asahi, Sachiko Takayama and Audrey (Courtenay) Martin; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.
Family suggests aloha attire and is omitting flowers.

Agnes Perreira
Agnes “Aunty Ag” Andrade Perreira of Kalaheo, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 10, 2015, at the age of 71. She was born on March 4, 1944, in Waimea, Kauai, and was the owner of Aunty Ag’s Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Andrade; and husband, Joseph “Sonny Boy” Perreira Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Leimomi (Marvin) Lum; sons, Joseph “Jay” (Cheryl) Perreira Jr., Damon Makaio (Roxanne) Perreira; brother, Joseph “Sonny” (Lusalle) Andrade; sisters, Rosemary (Americo) Morris, Cecilia (Bernard “Benny Ray”) Perreira, Kekilani Harada; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at the Kauai Veterans Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Family suggests flowers be omitted.
Casual attire is suggested. This is an alcohol-free celebration.

Takumi Imada
Takumi Imada passed away on July 26, 2015, at the age of 94. Born on Aug. 31, 2015, in Waimea, he was a carpenter with Okolele Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nobuko Imada; brother, Nobuo Imada; and sisters, Tsuyuko Kobayashi and Sally Matsuda.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Imada of Koloa; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, newphews and cousins.
Private services were held.

Harriet K. ‘Hattie’ Somerville
Harriet K. “Hattie” Somerville passed away at the age of 81 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 6, 2015. She was born in Paia, Maui, on Feb. 1, 1934.
An athlete from an early age, Hattie attended Punahou School where she excelled in tennis and swimming. At Briarcliffe College she was president of the Athletic Council.
After college she eventually returned to Hawaii where she became a leader in the statewide tennis community and an advocate for youth.
For the past 18 years she was the tennis professional at Poipu Kai Tennis Club.
Her gift to all was her genuine aloha, love for friendship, tennis and Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prescott Metcalf and Patricia Collins; and sister, Sandra Schober.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Somerville; daughters, Hannah (Peter) Sirois and Betsy (Mike) Purpura; sons, Henry (Rowena) Somerville and Jim (Alix) Somerville.
She adored her six grandchildren and her friendships far and wide.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Poipu Kai Tennis Club. Informal and tennis attire welcome. Jason Lee Martin of Kekaha passed away peacefully in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 8, 2015, at the age of 45. He was born in Sacramento, California, on Jan. 20, 1970, and worked in construction.
He is survived by his son, Jasper Martin of Hanapepe; parents, Hansen and Linda Martin of Kekaha; brother, Umi (Kaiulani) Martin of Waimea Valley; sister, Clover (Charles “Moku”) Moniz of Kalaheo; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Kekaha Neighborhood Center beginning at 10 a.m.
A paddle-out will follow after a paina. Loose flowers are welcome.
