LIHUE — In anticipation of severe weather, the Kauai Civil Defense Agency has cancelled siren testing that was scheduled for Monday through Thursday.
As officials continue to monitor Tropical Depression Kilo, residents and visitors are urged to stay informed and get prepared.
While no watches or warnings have yet been issued for Kauai County, the public is urged to register for Connect CTY, the county’s mass notification system. Those who register can elect to receive a phone call, text and/or email in the event a weather alert or public safety message is issued. To register, visit the county’s website at www.kauai.gov and click on the “Connect CTY” icon.
