Phase 2 of roadwork picks up Wednesday

LIHUE — The Department of Water announced that Phase 2 of construction work will begin Wednesday at the intersection of Haleko Road, Old Nawiliwili Road and Pua Loke Street. Two-way traffic will continue to be allowed through the area until further notice.

Utility and intersection improvements are being made by Unlimited Construction Services Inc. for the DOW’s Lihue Baseyard Improvements Project.

Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the work area.
