Flash flood advisory in effect
The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flash flood advisory for the island of Kauai until 4:30 p.m. Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will cause hazardous driving conditions. Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot. The advisory may need to be extended past 4:30 p.m., if heavy rain persists.
