Puppies, bunnies and animals are everywhere as Howard Wade, recently moved to Kauai from Molokai, tended to a pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Saturday at the Kauai Community Market at the Kauai Community College.
The weekly farmers market, a partnership with the Kauai Farm Bureau and KCC, was hopping as Hanna Huang (congratulations on getting Best Vegetable for the cucumber!) was tending to Cindy and the “no name yet puppy.”
Liz Hahn (next big show coming in September) had a Black Orchid in his prime, and said once a Betta Club gets going, she wants to be at the farm fair, too.
More newcomers were initiated to Kauai life as Sandi Kato-Klutke got the new Kauai Chamber of Commerce president Mark Perriello to roll up his sleeves and pitch in at the farm fair (the Amber Look-alike is absolutely amazing in how fast she can recover), and over at the Island School food booth, the new school director Shannon Graves had his hands full with the tradewinds (at least it keeps the heat index down).
