KOLOA – The Department of Water scheduled a water shutdown for customers located on Kapau Road in Koloa, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
A portion of Waikomo Road will also be closed to through traffic during the water shutdown, to allow the DOW to repair a main line in the area.
Affected customers are advised to store enough water to meet needs during the shutdown.
After repairs are completed and the water main is turned back on, air may be mixed into the water causing it to appear white or milky in color. This is normal and the air in the water will eventually dissipate.
