KALAHEO — Water conservation for Kalaheo was lifted Monday morning.
The Department of Water monitored the water levels of the area’s storage tanks since a power outage affected the Kalaheo deep well site around midnight on Sunday.
Kauai Island Utility Cooperative personnel restored power by noon Sunday.
Conservation was needed in lower Kalaheo after power restored to allow the area’s storage tanks to fully replenish. Without power, there wasn’t a way to accurately measure tank levels.
The area’s water supply levels were returned to Sunday night into Monday morning.
No water was lost or financial damage incurred, said Kim Tamaoka, DOW spokeswoman.
