Hatsubon is the service observed for people who have passed away since last year’s bon season.
Following the service, the WK Hongwanji, Hanapepe temple hosts the bon dance Friday and Saturday nights from 7:30 to 10:30.
Intermission performances include The Men of the Koi Dynasty and Tsunami Taiko on Friday night. The Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko will liven up the intermission on Saturday night.
