Chaunci Cummings will leave for the Special Olympics World Games in California Monday.
She was busy helping her grandmother, Claire Alfiler, on Friday at the Mahelona Hospital thrift shop (yes, they were celebrating the hospital’s 98th anniversary).
Josie Pablo said Gerald Hirata of the Kauai Soto Zen arranged to have two of the Japanese singers stop by for the residents today following their performances at the bon dance.
This is the start of the Koloa Plantation Days celebration, and also the final week before the All Saints Church hosts the 10th annual Fun in Fellowship Dodgeball Tournament at the All Saints Gym (Dasmon Sasil, helping the Alonzo family clearing their damaged wall, said they’ll be playing in the tournament, too).
OK, time to see if Tracy Tucker made it to the finals of the Koloa Plantation Days Charity Tennis Tournament at Poipu Kai.
