LIHUE — Is it Bob? Or Kevin? Or Stuart?
John Cova, 4, of Kapaa did not care.
“He just loves the Minions,” said his mother. “He got a Happy Meal so he could get one.”
McDonald’s Lihue was decked out in Minion Mania, posters and visual aids touting the little cute characters everywhere, and its employees decked out in the bright yellow Minion shirts with appropriately suited headwear.
“We get to wear the Minion Mania uniforms on Wednesdays and Saturdays,” said Esyl Mae Macoco of Lihue.
McDonalds is one of the promotional partners for the Minions movie which opened Friday at theaters locally, and nationwide.
In the movie, the Minions, first made popular through the “Despicable Me” animated movie, search for a new evil mastermind to follow and features the voices of Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm.
