LIHUE — Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold their annual convention, “Imitate Jesus!” at the Kauai War Memorial this weekend. The public is welcome.
“As Christians, a core belief of Jehovah’s Witnesses is that Jesus lived his life as a model for us to follow,” said Carl Rossetti, a convention spokesman.
The three-day event will begin Friday.
The convention will examine Jesus’ life, as outlined in the Bible, and emphasize how all can benefit in practical ways from his example and teachings. The keynote address is entitled “Concealed in Him are All the Treasures of Wisdom.”
An estimated 1,000 are expected at the convention.
