Congratulations to Father Ryan Newman, Sybil Nishioka, and all those volunteers from the All Saints Episcopal Church on a great Laundry Love Kauai (even having the clothes folded) program!
The Kapaa Laundromat never looked so busy Wednesday night (congratulations to Kawaihau Intermediate 50/70 on the state championship!). Coach Justin Malina (Kaimi is right-on with the lines, too!) said they need help getting to the Little League Regionals in Arizona so will have a laulau sale Saturday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and a smoked meat sale on Sunday (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Colt field area at the Mayor Bryan Baptiste Memorial Sports Park (that football stadium grass is looking really nice).
Terry Phillips (Sunshine Market was Wednesday) said Ed Kawamura, Jr. and the ohana will be working with Arnold Leong at the Kauai Hospice “Concert in the Sky” and she is getting excited about the new malasada machine (when is Malasada Tuesday?). Gotta go check out the flying saucers (how many flavors?) and the malasada.
Happy and safe Fourth of July, Kauai!
