Hannah Takata Martin
Hannah M. Takata Martin, of Kapaa, Kauai passed away on June 9, 2015 at the age of 76. Hannah was born on Dec. 25, 1938 in Waimea, Kauai. She retired from her position as Laundry Attendant for Kauai Coconut Beach Resort.
She is preceded in death by her parents Koki & Chiyoko Takata of Waimea, Kauai, and her sister Katherine Hirayama of Los Angeles, California.
Hannah is survived by her daughter Candice (Steve) Cummings of Kapaa, Kauai, her son Reuben (Lori) Orial of Lihue, Kauai, 6 grandchildren, Kelsey (Shane) Lovell of Las Vegas, NV, Dawn (Michael) De Silva of Kapahi, Kauai, Kalin Cummings of Kapaa, Kauai, Bryson Cummings of Kapaa, Kauai, Shay and Tane Orial Of Lihue, Kauai; 8 great-grandchildren, Jesse Makena and Cassie Parongao, Troye &, Janea Lovell, Nainoa, Pohakupili and Madison De Silva and Makoa Rubio-Cummings. Hannah also leaves behind a brother, Sam (Elsie) Takata of Lihue, Kauai, and a sister, Mary (Billy) Robinson of Waimea, Kauai and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Hannah’s life will be held at Breath of Life Christian Ministries 4303 Rice Street Lihue, Kauai on June 27th, 2015 Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m., followed by memorial services at 10 a.m.
Borthwick Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Kaaohelo Nobrega-Olivera
Kaaioohelo Nobrega-Olivera was born a stillborn on June 8, 2015 in Waimea, Kauai to her parents Gina Malia & Victor Nobrega-Olivera of Hanapepe Valley, Kauai.
Kaaiohelo is preceded in death by her uncles, Mark Nobrega and Buddy Racoma, and her grandfather, Gilbert Nobrega Jr.
Kaaioohelo is survived by her parents Gina Malia & Victor Nobrega-Olivera and her sister, Genoa; her grandparents, Rosalyn Nobrega (Hanapepe Valley), Frances Lokelani Racoma (Kailua), and Victor Olivera Sr. (Kaneohe); and numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery at 1 p.m.
The family is being assisted by Borthwick Kauai.
Marcelina Damaso
Marcelina Damaso of Hanamaulu passed away on June 17, 2015 at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 68. Born on July 12, 1946, in Dingras Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was custodian with Kapa’a Middle School.
She is survived by her brothers, Epifanio (Lydia) Damaso of Hanamaulu, Rustico Damaso (Marie Vic Cabigting) of Hanamaulu, Almirante (Nena) Damaso of Kona, Gamaliel (Margilyn) Damaso of Kona, and Bernabe (Trina) Damaso of Hanamaulu; sisters, Susana (Rogelio) Bulo of Philippines, and Eupricina (Arsenio) Garcia of Philippines; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with blessing at 11 a.m.
Family suggests casual attire and is open to flowers.

Alvin J. Geiser, Jr.
Alvin Julius Geiser Jr. of Kapaa passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 23, 2015, at the age of 77. He was born in Seattle, Washington on Feb. 11, 1938, and retired as a school teacher with Maple Elementary School in Seattle, Washington.
He is survived by his wife, Elyse Litvack of Kapaa; one daughter, Raezel Geiser of Maryland and extended family in Southern California.
His family will hold private services.
