HONOLULU — Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, formerly known as State Civil Defense, together with Kauai County Civil Defense Agency will conduct siren testing on Wednesday at:
· Isenberg Field, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
· Shipwreck Beach Park, 1 to 4 p.m.
Residents nearby may hear the siren sound for six to eight times during 30-second to one-minute intervals during the identified timeframe. Testing will include checks of the public address system and short blasts known as “burps.” During the tests, technicians will check that installation work on this siren has been completed properly.
