HANALEI — As employees of Elite Pacific Properties worked to establish the organization’s new headquarters at the Princeville Center, the members wanted to give back to Kauai’s North Shore and chose to give a gift to Hanalei Elementary School’s art program: $2,000.
“I feel great about it,” EPP realty broker Sean Ahearn said. “We’re always looking for ways to give back to the community.”
As many North Shore clients began to walk through Elite Realty’s doors, the organization saw their customers had many friends with children who attended the school and the facility wanted to help.
EPP chose the school because the facility doesn’t quality for funding for their art, music or PE programs from the state Department of Education due to enrollment, according to Ahearn.
“They exist solely through private donations like ours,” he said. “The children should have the opportunity to have a well-rounded education which includes cultivating that creative side and have the opportunity to express themselves through art.”
