Aleajah Naumu and her sister Taytra and brother Brenden had no shortage of things to do at the Nawiliwili Harbor jetty wall area Tuesday as they waited for “Papa” to fix their fishing line (Taytra kept snagging Kauai and Brenden was distracted by trying to catch the rock crabs).
The jetty wall area is popular as Nawiliwili Yacht Club Rear Commodore Fred Styer and the Race Committee start the Junior Invitational Series on Thursday when the first flags fly at 5 p.m.
The wall was a nice stopping point (wasn’t that Wesley Hayashi parked outside Ammonia’s?) before checking in with Bill Arakaki, Helen Sanpei, and Gordon Doo at the McKinley Community School for Adults graduation (mahalo to Bruce Herbig for the VIP parking). Congratulations to all the graduates (even Coach Bobby Rapozo had family enjoying the festivities)!
Congratulations to all the graduates who make the big walk, this evening at Kauai, Kapaa and Waimea high schools!
Stay safe and kudos to the leaders of Project Grad who have their big night, tonight!
