Soccer players between the ages of 8 and 17 years old are invited to register for the Keahi Soccer Club clinic at the Kalawai Park on May 30-31.
Youth between the ages of 8 and 12 years old will meet from 9 a.m. to noon on both days. Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 will meet from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on both days.
“Keahi Soccer Club will be working together with elite club Maui United Soccer Club to host this clinic,” said Allan Duldulao of Keahi Soccer. “The Keahi staff will be joined by Brent Nunes, director of coaching, and Paul Holocher, the Maui United director of development who was in the Collegiate Division 1 level as a head coach at Cal Poly.”
The goal of the two-day clinic will be purely focused on individual player development.
Holocher said the strategies for the clinic are based on what he and Nunes have learned during their travels and time studying the methods of FC Barcelona and AJAX.
“Brent and I have enjoyed teaching the game with Maui United,” Holocher said “It is a way of training and playing, which improves players both technically and tactically. This is when true player development occurs. The players will enjoy the trainings and we can’t wait to share some of the insights of these great European clubs.”
