The public is invited to a free pickleball clinic May 30 at the Princeville at Hanalei Community Association Basketball court area at Emmalani Park.
Jack Hodges, the District of Hawaii Ambassador for the USA Pickleball Association, will be leading the clinic which runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Hodges, who led the free clinic for the Department of Parks and Recreation which drew more than 100 people, said pickleball is a “new” sport that is taking off because it provides great exercise and low impact.
Pickleball is played like tennis, but on a smaller court, with a plastic ball and wooden paddles.
The clinic is being sponsored by the Princeville at Hanalei Community Association.
