Kudos to Alan Hiranaka and the Hui Alu (mahalo to Alana Kawehi Tamashiro for the offers of andagi) on a great Okinawa Festival. Richard Stein brought over the shoyu pork as his anniversary dinner, and Karin Panui and Bev Pang were grinding out on the huli huli pork. Too bad this only comes every two years.
Mahalo to Val Zukeran of Honolulu who came down to update Mokihana Aquatics swimmers and officials on the latest rulings, and kudos to Coach Orando “A” Anaya on another great meet — Coach Bo Domingcil wasn’t there because he was getting married, and Michelle Stokes got a “mommy-gram” from daughter Chloe — all the way from Pennsylvania (thank heaven for the miracle of cell phones).
OK, this is it — the final week to sign up for the Visitor Industry Charity Walk — the walk takes place Saturday! Marc Bennor said you can do it during registration which starts at 6:30 a.m. at the historic County Building.
