LIHUE — McDonald’s of Waipouli employee and Kapaa High School senior Alexis Steele was one of 10 students awarded a $2,500 scholarship.

McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii has awarded ten $2,500 scholarships to its top student employees in support of their journey toward obtaining a college degree. Ten high school seniors were honored at an Employee Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Saturday.
“We recognize the hard work, dedication and talent of our student employees and are proud to present them with these scholarships as they pursue higher education,” said Victor Lim, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii owner/operator. “We are committed to awarding our student employees for their excellence in academics, community involvement and on-the-job performance. Congratulations to all recipients.”
