Kudos to the Kauai High School baseball team on its KIF championship. The boys were cruisin’ the mall Saturday because there were no games scheduled.
Over at the Malama Huleia mangrove removal project, Tyler Chihara had the Rotarians working to restore the waterway (Ted Chihara said he’s the only one who can boast three generations of Chiharas) so the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation could grant an award to the Kauai Independent Food Bank (Kelvin Moniz had Rizaldy Tolentino and Judy Arrigo working for their $$$). Dick Olsen (his “Speedy” crew missed the boat because they were stuck in traffic Thursday) made sure there were at least 30 people working.
David and Carol (she found totan which can float) Pratt were busy policing the area while Justin Kollar donned a Malama Huleia shirt over his Rotary one. And FYI, there was so many clouds, no one could see the chemtrails.
