LIHUE — The E Ola Pono Campaign is in its seventh year of encouraging student-led initiatives in kindergarten through 12th grade to eliminate bullying.
It’s looking for groups to join the campaign by submitting documentation and brief reflections of their activities to combat bullying by May 15.
Applicants should share how students are helping peers respect and appreciate people and places of importance on the island. The campaign also wants elementary school students to promote the concept or living pono, which is acting with respect toward everyone and everything.
Judges will select exemplary E Ola Pono Campaigns in elementary, middle/intermediate and high school divisions with awards ranging from $250 to $1,000.
