Kudos to Eric Hansen of GoFarm Hawaii on the great Earth Day activity Wednesday at the Hoouluwehi: Sustainable Living Institute of Kauai at the Kauai Community College.
Eric did the project of “planting for the future” and utilized a bunch of companion plantings to create an edible landscape (Helen Cox is all for that) for the fence line (gotta keep the pigs and chickens out) surrounding the farm plots, and it should be a thing of beauty once everything settles in.
The problem is that Cammie Matsumoto got so involved in hacking the hilahila with that Korean earth tool she forgot to plant.
OK, time to go check out Keith Kitamura and his peer mediation conference. Keith does a great job with the program at Kapaa High School and now wants to make it islandwide. This conference is the first step.
Then, it’s off to check out the PMRF guys at Healing Horses, where the Navy people will be volunteering.
