LIHUE — Monday is Hawaii State Tax Day, or the deadline to file a Hawaii state income tax return.
It is also national Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day, said Sharon Lasker of the Regency at Puakea.
Rather than paying out taxes, she invites people to enjoy a free slice of pineapple upside-down cake prepared by Regency Chef Ryan Theis from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The slice also comes with a glass of beverage in the Regency of Puakea’s bistro area, 2130 Kaneka Street in Lihue.
